dc.description.abstractFor the observation of the Hadal trenches with a great depth and large scale, we have developed a 10,000m rated underwater glider, Petrel-X, which can realize low-cost, large-scale and full-depth marine observation by continuous gliding profiles. It can cover the shortage in observation time and scale of existing underwater vehicles, including ROVs, HOVs and ARVs.en_US
